Good afternoon Royce,
I have a question for you. Since you will not be voting for Trump, will ypu then be voting for Hillary?

Whether the LGBTQ advocates are impressed with Trump's waving the Rainbow Flag or not is irrelevant!! What's relevant is Trump and his actions! What do we make of it? Simple, you can Trump to protect Religious Values about as much as you can trust him to save your soul.
No, I am NOT now nor have I ever been fooled by Trump's waving the Rainbow Flag and am not the least bit surprised. It is just one more confirmation as to why I will NOT be voting for Trump. And yes, Dr. Brown, I did read your article as to why you're voting for Trump. Just like Dr. Grudem's flipflopping around on Trump like a fish outta water, you didn't offer one Biblical verse to substantiate your decision either. What is shocking to me is that "Doctors" like yourselves, especially Dr. Grudem who's a well-known, well-reputed Systematic Theologian fail to offer even ONE verse to justify/substantiate your positions.
I'm guessing you didn't see the comments I wrote in response to that article you wrote on why you will vote for Trump so I would encourage you to read them before you do and prayerfully consider what I wrote. In that article you write, "Since I have the opportunity to vote, I feel that I should vote for Trump." I failed to address that in my previous comments and would emphasize here, once again, we should not be walking by what we "feel" but rather by what God has said. You of all people should know this having given many messages on the dangers of walking by our feelings. In a previous comment to another one of your articles I mentioned there are numerous passages of Scripture that tell us how and what we should be voting for. Exodus 18:21 is just one of them and I would ask you again how Trump fits in with ANY of those requirements.
You say, "So, it was not so much the gay flag he was celebrating as much as the support from LGBT Americans at his rally." But you miss the whole point. Even after saying, "what Trump was excited about was that LGBT Americans were supporting him, just as he would have been excited about Hispanic Americans or Black Americans or Jewish Americans supporting him". How can you miss that Trump is ALL about Trump?! Of course he was excited about the LGBTs supporting him. That's what it's all about for Trump and you can doggone well bet that's how he'll be as POTUS. Now, since the Gospel will never be popular, just how much support do you think Trump is gonna throw behind the religious freedom to spread it??
You say, "At the same time, I firmly believe that Trump wants to be the champion of religious liberties..." Are you kidding me? Surely you are aware of his opposition to the NC "Bathroom Bill". Surely you are aware of the comments that he made about Bruce Jenner using any bathroom he wants. Surely you are aware of the comments Trump has made about Russell Moore and other religious leaders who have opposed him or spoken anything negative about him. You recently read an article on "anonymous discernment". I implore you, start exercising some serious discernment about Trump!! Pence has unequally yoked himself to Trump and I believe that will have negative consequences for Pence and it would not surprise me one iota if Trump completely disregard Pence once elected and will relegate him to a nothing status if Pence tries to cross him after the election should he be elected.
You say, "And third, we look beyond the elections to our long-term duty as Christian citizens, committed to loving our neighbors as ourselves while refusing to compromise our biblical convictions." And I say our FIRST and FOREMOST duty is to obey God. Loving God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind comes before loving our neighbor. God has spoken on who His People are to choose as their leaders. And if you can provide me with any Scriptures at all that says it's ok to vote for someone who comes under Eph. 2:1-4, I'm all ears. Otherwise, Eph. 2:2 should make it abundantly clear who and what you are voting for.
