Brown is right about capitalizing the word "black." If you look in any dictionary, you'll see that lowercase is more common. However, if you're going to capitalize "black," then you also need to capitalize "white." I've noticed that *many* news articles are pulling this garbage as well. It's complete lunacy.

Contend4Truth did a very good job at highlighting Dr. Browns point on the capitalized ethnic titles. He or she also missed the point of the article in their determination to be a grammar critic.
As scripture says (if you believe the Holy Bible, that is) "12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Eph 6:12, NIV)." It does seem that some politicians have direct communication to these evil spirits that would indicate a closer relationship or familiarity with such spirits. However, they are (hopefully) still redeemable and deserve our prayers. Ephesians 1:18-21 is a very good prayer to pray for and over them: "18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way (NIV)."
It is always important to remember that Christ Jesus is above all and more powerful than all even if all things are not yet placed under His feet (1 Cor 15:25-26). We must speak the Word of God (Truth) in obedience to our Heavenly Father and Creator regardless of the worlds reaction to it. Even when we speak it in love and gentleness the reaction may not be the same. The reaction of those in power to Jesus healing people and forgiving them was to plot to kill Him. Can we expect any different? We do not belong to the world even though we are still in it. Focus on eternity and out call to do good works of obedience here while there is time, for the world will continue to get more evil just like the days before Noah built his Ark (Matthew 24:37).

"Black" is capitalized because it an English norm to do so when it refers to an ethnic identity, just as it is normal to capitalize "Native American" as you did Dr. Brown when you wrote this post. Any academic person generally is aware of this.

Just when we think the democrats cannot sink any lower into moral, cultural, and spiritual depravity....they manage to prove our thinking wrong yet again. So, now they have figured out a way to get around the collapse of Roe when it finally comes? Only minds as perverted as the democrat party heads could come up with something like this. Their entire platform was concocted in Hell itself.
