Someone trying to follow Jesus

I was born in the latter part of the 1960's in the north of England which is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland (UK). I am of Anglo Saxon desent and am the youngest child of seven. I am now approaching my mid 50's and have not yet married nor do I have any dependants. I do not recall when I gave my heart to Jesus. I guess it was at some point between my 7th and 10th birthdays. My aim in life is to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, by helping others through simple acts of sacrificial loving kindness. I try to do as scripture tells us to do, and test everything (1 Thessalonians 5:21), and follow the example of the Bereans (Acts 17:11). When I perceive that people proclaiming to follow Jesus don't do as I do, then I try and gracefully show them the error of their ways. But sometimes I fail to be as gracious as Jesus is. Then I have to say sorry, please forgive me and I ask for your forgiveness. When I do this Jesus always forgives me. Sadly not all of those who profess to follow him do the same.
