The Word of God says in II Corinthians 5 that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

You quote Luke 23:43 to justify that we go straight to heaven after we die.... "To day shalt though be with me in paradise"(KJV). Looking at the original Greek text from Stephanus Textus Receptus 1550 "καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς, Ἀμήν λέγω σοι σήμερον μετ' ἐμοῦ ἔσῃ ἐν τῷ παραδείσω" A more accurate interpretation is... and said this Jesus, truly i tell you this today with me you will be in paradise With or without this comma i have added for demonstration...there is NO error if it is interpreted as ....and said this Jesus, truly i tell you this today, with me you will be in paradise This makes more sense that your interpretation , especially when Jesus was NOT in paradise on that day, He did not get to heaven until he ascended
