Our Messiah
I will try and make this as understandable as possible. This will require reading God’s word when given verses that will help in your understanding of events. All dates are from God’s calendar and not from man. Now let us look at some evidence of how most people follow the Evil One.
Deuteronomy 17:3 “by going and serving other gods and worshipping them, the sun, the moon, or anything in the sky — something I (Adonai/God) have forbidden.”
Comment: We are told to worship the Creator and not the Creation. This thought of not worshipping objects in the sky is repeated more than ten times by God and His prophets.
Know that almost all pagans did not know God’s words. You will see this today in the way the churches are structured. Most churches follow what was established by the Romans meaning they do not always follow God. We see this in the writings of the historian Josephus who lived during the time of the Messiah.
Read Josephus’s Antiquities of the Jews 18 chapter 3 which tell us how Pilate, the procurator of Judea removed the army from Cesarea to Jerusalem to take their winter quarters there. Pilate’s goal was to abolish the Jewish law known as Torah, God’s direction that shows us how to honor our Creator. Pilate later when he was governor oversaw the events surrounding the death of the Messiah.
Know that most churches today still worship December 25 as the birth of the Messiah, the same day pagans worship the sun god.
With the use of sun dials, water clocks etc., man was able to tell approximately how long a night or day lasted. They were not able to be as precise as we are today but close enough.
Then there was the Roman Emperor Aurelian, who is known for promoting the worship of the ‘god of the Unconquered Sun’, creating an official priesthood as well as building a temple to the sun god. Aurelian’s proclamation happened in the year 274 CE on December 25. The pagans continued to worship the sun as their biggest celebration of the year until Constantine became ruler of the entire Roman Empire and called his Empire a Christian Empire in name only. It was then Constantine changed the name of the celebration from Sol Invictus to Christ Mas which we know today as Christmas. The tradition of December 25 is still celebrated today. I hope most people understand that December 25 is a tradition and not command from God. Again, as far as worshipping the sun, the date kind of makes sense to man since the winter solstice normally happens on the 21 of December and after four days man could tell that the days were getting longer thus giving man a reason to celebrate that longer and warmer days are ahead. The Romans were very pagan before the beginning of their nation and continued the tradition of celebrating on December 25 to the sun god, Sol Invictus. This date was also the day Julius Caesar was declared god years after his death.
However, when Constantine came to power and Constantine wanted the Roman Empire to be a Christian nation it became a problem. Becoming a Christian nation was mainly due to the influence of Constantine’s mother. Of course at this time there were a lot of problems with this conversion since just about all of the Roman Empire followed the pagan traditions and also had little or no knowledge of God’s Word. Also remember that when the Latin Vulgate was printed, very few had access to this translation of God’s words. Also most of the citizens of the Roman Empire were not allowed to have access to the Latin Vulgate.
The army of Constantine was just about all pagan and most could not read. Constantine’s army was made up of many different barbarian tribes, etc. For the army to continue to be loyal to Constantine, Constantine had to accept their pagan traditions including continued worship of the sun god on December 25 to this day. The Romans hid God’s word from the people of the Roman Empire which is exactly what the Evil One wanted to happen. There was a time that other than God’s people, only the Roman’s in power had access to God’s word.
It is interesting that we have physical evidence from Empire Constantine that when he took over his fathers position he change the inscription on the coins of Rome from “To the Genius of the Roman people” to “To the Unconquered Sun my companion”.
Constantine’s inscription on his coins implies that Constantine continued to worshipped the sun god.
Link to order the Constantine coin with his inscription:
“To the Unconquered Sun my companion”.

When Constantine's father died Constantine the Great immediately order new coins struck at the mints he controlled and changed the inscription on the coins from the traditional “To the Genius of the Roman people” to “To the Unconquered Sun (Sol Invictus) my companion”. This new coin stayed in circulation for more than one hundred years after the death of Constantine in 337AD. This information comes from Constantine’s Sword chapter 19 written by James Carroll.
Life of the Messiah
A short summary of the Messiah’s existence on earth
The Maccabees
Something that is overlooked by most are the books of the Maccabees. For certain prophecies to be fulfill by the coming Messiah of God’s people both the chosen and the foreigners had to have a certain amount of control over Jerusalem and the surrounding land by those who followed Torah. There are many prophecies that involve the people and the Land during the time the Messiah on earth. The Maccabees led by Judas Maccabee (The Hammer) around 148 BC captured and restored the Temple that King Antiochus defiled. King Antiochus did everything he could to destroy Torah, God directions on how to live life with God. Judas led the people back to their Jewish roots by returning them to Torah, etc. It will help your understanding if you read the books of the Maccabees.
Know that life begins at conception. Ha`Elyon (God most High) covered Mary thus providing the seed the caused conception.
Kislev 30, 3755 day of conception of the Messiah. This day was a Shabbat (Sabbath), the seventh day of the week. It is assumed that the conception happened at dusk. Within a short time from when the new day starts after evening, which would be the Hebrew day Tevet 1, 3755 or the first full day. Remember that the Hebrew day starts in evening specifically, at sunset.
Luke 1:34-35
34 “How can this be,” asked Miryam of the angel, “since I am a virgin?” 35 The angel answered her,
“The Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Sprite) will come over you,
the power of Ha‘Elyon (God most High) will cover you.
Therefore the holy child born to you
will be called the Son of God.
It was 40 weeks or 280 days between conception and birth. The birth of the Messiah was in the seventh month, Tishri, 15th day in the Hebrew Biblical year 3756 which is a Sh`mittah year or year of release. Read Deuteronomy 15 to have a better understanding of what happens during a Sh`mittah year.
Messiah’s walk on earth
What follows are a few events/prophecy that help us understand how the Messiah was guiding us. First let us look at a portion of Matthew, the seventh chapter.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, only those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that Day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord! Didn’t we prophesy in your name? Didn’t we expel demons in your name? Didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?’ 23 Then I will tell them to their faces, ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’
It will help you more if you read the entire chapter 7.
Comment: What the Messiah is saying when He tells someone he is lawless, meaning he is not following God’s directions which is Torah.
Matthew 15:24
24 He said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Isra’el.”
Comment: It took me a long time to understand this verse. Being a Goy (Gentile) I could not understand why we are told that the Messiah was only sent to God’s chosen people. It was only after I understood that this verse means exactly what it tells us. We need to understand that during the time the Messiah was on earth most Torah teachers were treating man’s word as if they came from God. Both John the Immerser and the Messiah criticized these Torah teachers of teaching false doctrine.
Matthew 24:1-2
As Yeshua left the Temple and was going away, his talmidim came and called his attention to its buildings. 2 But he answered them, “You see all these? Yes! I tell you, they will be totally destroyed — not a single stone will be left standing!”
Comment: Josephus tell us that in 70AD during the month of Av, days 8-10 the Temple mound was totally destroyed. The 9th of Av is celebrated to honor this sad event as well as other sad events.
Death and Resurrection
Abib or Nisan the first month of the Hebrew year on the 14th day, late in the day the Messiah’s was crucified. Most Bibles tell us that the Messiah died on the cross. However some translations tell us that the Messiah died on a tree or execution stake which is more likely. The term cross became popular after Empire Constantine had his vision at Milvian Bridge in the year 312 AD where Constantine saw a cross with the words “In This Sign Conquer”. God tells us in Torah “Do not worship object in the sky” Deuteronomy 17:3. God also tells us not to worship things made by man. Have you ever seen a forest of crosses? This vision more likely came from the Evil One if Constantine actually saw a vision or just had a bad dream.
Matthew 12:40
40 For just as Yonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea-monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the depths of the earth.
Comment: Remember the Hebrew day starts at sunset. So when the sun sets on the 14th day it is actually the beginning of the day 15th day. So the verse above is telling us that day 15, 16 and 17 the Messiah was in the center of the earth.
Matthew 27:62-64
62 Next day, after the preparation, the head cohanim and the P’rushim went together to Pilate 63 and said, “Sir, we remember that the deceiver (Messiah) said while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will be raised.’ 64 Therefore, order that the grave be made secure till the third day; otherwise the talmidim may come, steal him away and say to the people, ‘He was raised from the dead’; and the last deception will be worse than the first.”
Comment: We know this was no deception!
On the 18th day which started at sunset on the 17th day of the month. The 18th day was the first day of the week. The all four Gospels tell us that the women went to the Messiah’s grave on this day.
Destruction of Temple Mound
The Babylonian Talmud tells us that after the death of the Messiah, during the celebration of Yom Kippur God never forgave the sins of the people. This is known because we are told that the cord on the scape goat, door, etc. did not change from red to white.
Both the Babylonian Talmud and Josephus tell us that after 40 years from the death of the Messiah the Temple will be destroyed. This is not exactly right, since the Messiah’s death and resurrection happened during the month of Abib the first month which was followed by Yom Kippur in the seventh month of the same year. This means Yom Kippur was celebrated 40 times by 69AD. There was no temple in the seventh month of 70AD.
Matthew 5:17-18 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
Comment: Luke 16-17 tells us the same but in different words.
In recent times we were informed by the Boston Globe that the Boston Diocese was responsible for covering up actions take by hundreds of pedophilia Priests in the Boston area. You can read the many articles (almost 600) on the Globes website. A very good mostly true story is told in a movie “Spotlight”.
