WorldNetDaily ran with this story too: https://www.wnd.com/2020/03/dr-fauci-concedes-coronavirus-death-rate-like-bad-flu/ Unfortunately, it seems there's a catch. Even though this article was published in the March 26 *print* edition of the "New England Journal of Medicine," if you scroll down to the very end of the online article, you'll find that it was originally published *online* on February 28. Well, they should've put that info at the VERY TOP of the online article. Anyway, Fauci and his co-authors should really publish an official update or clarification online. So, this is all very confusing. Ultimately, we don't really know what the mortality rate is for Covid-19. However, panic is definitely not the answer. Anyway, as I posted under another article, a doctor from Johns Hopkins Medical School said that your chances of getting the virus from an infected member of your own household are only about 10%. And your chances of getting it from an infected individual that you run into casually are only about 0.5%. That's pretty good news. Furthermore, as the weather continue to warms up, that should slow the spread of the virus. So, be wise and cautious, but not paranoid. And pray continually, as the Bible instructs us.

OK, folks—listen up. In article published yesterday in the "New England Journal of Medicine," Dr. Anthony Fauci et al. are now stating that Covid-19 may actually be no worse than a bad flu. I kid you not! Here's a little excerpt: "This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968) rather than a disease similar to SARS or MERS . . ."

So, in a nutshell, it seems safe to treat this virus like a severe flu—and that's it. No need for hysteria or panic. And certainly no need to close the whole country down.

I love your simple phrase: Caution, yes. Panic no. Good even for those who are not trusting the God who is still sitting on His throne. As those who trust Him, we need to be His agents.

Prophecy? What about the other 200+ viruses that directly affect humans? Are any of those prophecies, Chicken Little? Or, just this one? And how do you know?

Oops, instead of writing "the best experts think . . .," I meant to say that experts can only really say that coronavirus is probably more deadly than the flu. They can't get any more specific at this point, because there are so many unknowns.

Brown wrote: "Much more deadly than the common flu, for sure." He needs to be careful about making a statement like that, which contradicts what I've read. Here's a quote straight out of an ABC News article: "Right now, the best experts can say is that COVID-19 is probably more deadly that [sic] the seasonal flu, but much less deadly than other high profile outbreaks like Ebola, SARS, and MERS, with death rates of 50%, 10%, and 35%, respectively." So, according to this article, the best experts think that coronavirus is "probably more deadly" than the flu, *not* "much more deadly . . . for sure," as Brown claims.
