Today the Church tries to suppress the teaching of science and the results of modern biblical scholarship which has done away with the Virgin Birth, the physical resurrection, the second coming and the entire Old Testament. The study in seminaries has now move to why the fictional stories were written in the first place. Fundamentalism only exists because Bible believers are blissfully unaware of these facts. facts and religion just don't mix, never have never will.
