WHAT kind of Catholic prioritizes environmental regulations over preventing infanticide, which is a clear violation of explicit Catholic teaching, as expressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church? Based on his odd screen name he may not be an actual Catholic though. His allegation that less regulation is about furthering greed is a standard far left wing delusion that sees no connection between regulations and increased costs or lost jobs affecting the average person. For example, under Obama several large coal companies went bankrupt, with thousands of lost jobs, because of new EPA regulations on coal, like the mercury regulations. Or does he mean that the coal miners are greedy???? I seriously doubt that A._catholic has any idea whatsoever what the actual scientific justification for those regulations are. Even if I was to accept for the sake of argument that he actually knows what he’s talking about, he’s arguing for concern for human life in an environmental context, and lack of concern for infanticide at the same time – a very implausible combination. I could discuss “climate change” (which is baloney) – I doubt he knows anything except the standard superficial talking points - but why bother? It’s about leftism with him (which includes the enviro-religion types that combine leftist perspectives on capitalism with an alleged deep concern with the environment) i.e., some people are making too much money.

Sad to see a fellow Catholic equate climate change as equal to abortion. The fact is that no one who claims to be Christian can vote for a Democrat otherwise you condone abortion that is as bad as having an abortion yourself. You can not separate yourself from the murder of innocent babies if you are voting for someone who is helping to facilitate that in any way. To my fellow Catholic Abortion is a grave sin and those who have had an abortion need to repent not those trying to stop abortion. Wealth doesn't make one evil Money has power and it depends on if it is used. God will judge President Trump and if he repents "enough" We are responsible to repent for ours. Some people are jealous of the rich which blinds them to its limits.

Pres. Trump may be Pro-Life in terms of criminalizing abortion- but he is pro-greed and anti-life in his personal life, and in failing to protect creation/the environment on which ALL biological life depends. From allowing more mercury in the atmosphere; failing to ban a neurotoxic pesticide; pushing for more mining and fracking, particularly in environmentally sensitive areas; reducing fuel efficiency standards and failing to address climate change (which Pres. Trump didn't even mention); in weakening endangered species protections. All of which is to enhance "wealth generation/profit". Human life is the crown of creation- and we can no longer treat that creation as something that is there primarily for material wealth generation beyond need- greed. Jesus says clearly we cannot serve wealth (Mat 6:24); Paul says love of money/wealth is the root of evil (1 Tim 6:10). It is an evil that Pres. Trump is blatantly unrepentant of.
