You are right to decry the hyperbole of this minister's statements. The Bishop is right in that predominantly white evangelicals overlook Pres. Trump's lies and his character. By focusing on abortion alone, you overlook Pres. Trump's greed and his servitude to mammon/ wealth /profit. that is not of God (Mat 6:24). That servitude has resulted in policies that are taking assistance from the poor, policies shifting wealth away from the middle class, and in creation care/environmental policies that are rolling back protections to creation/the environment and pushing for destruction of environmentally sensitive areas; creation/the environment on which *ALL* biological life depends. And while pro-choice politicians like Pres. Obama may be taking away legal restrictions to abortion, they are acting in other ways to support life- such as providing child care, job training, and healthcare. All of which Pres. Trump has/is trying to cut.
