Here's an excellent article on why conservatives should boycott Merriam-Webster:

Quote: "While Merriam-Webster used to be a respectable dictionary, these days it seems to function more-so as a leftist (and thus fake) news site . . ."

A good article that illustrates two things: 1) the folly of social media; and 2) the futility of speaking to "fools." First off, social media has become the domain of bullies and trolls. It's basically all just hot air. If he were alive today, would the apostle Paul be on social media? My guess is "no." Social media is toxic. At the very least, you should only participate on social-media sites that don't censor conservative opinions, like Parler. I don't do social media at all, and am happier for it. Now, let's address the second point. Unfortunately, the mistake that so many Christians make is conversing with people that the Bible calls "fools." Brown's conversation with Dez’Ray (whoever that is) perfectly illustrates this concept. In their "dialogue," the only thing that Dez'Ray did was to bring the conversation down. Basically, Brown was casting his pearls before swine. As Proverbs 23:9 puts it: "Do not speak to a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words." In my opinion, wise people recognize the fools sooner and run away faster. Since social media is a breeding ground for fools, by staying away from social media, you will greatly reduce the temptation to speak to fools. :) Anyway, Proverbs 23:9 is such great advice, and I wish that more Christians would follow it. After all, the Bible tells us to be as wise as *serpents*, not to be as wise as doves. ;)

I come at things from a little different perspective, being a science-trained engineer, and want to pass that along. The science of genetics says that everyone alive today is related and comes from the same human couple, which the Bible calls Adam and Eve, per Reasons To Believe ministry with Hugh Ross. They are accomplished scientists and believers. God has designed these bodies to be able to adapt to some extent to the environment, without becoming a different species, like dogs come in different shapes, sizes, or colors without ceasing to be dogs. The call that micro-evolution, as opposed to macro-evolution. They, and others, suggest that different skin color came from the parts of the world with differing amounts of sunlight that our ancestors came from, combined with built-in genetic capacity to adapt to that. People that came from equatorial regions around the world had the darkest skin color because it provides better protection against skin cancer from intense ultraviolet light. That's true in India, Africa, and Latin America. Light skinned people's ancestors came from latitudes closer to the poles where there is less light and dark skin color blocks too much of the ultraviolet sunlight for the skin to be able to manufacture vitamin D, an essential vitamin. We are seeing more why this is important for resistance to viruses such as Covid 19 which is killing more dark skinned people than light skinned people. In between, at middle latitudes, people have tended to have brown skin before humans started moving around the world as much as we do now. Of course, Nation of Islam, for example, has a whole made-up mythology of the origin of different skin colors that is based upon warring gods and devils, along with other witchcraft type explanations. They would do well to listen to Jesus and the Bible whose explanations match the scientific explanation of all of us being related. Jesus was speaking for the one true God of the Bible, creator of the universe, and the only way out of the spiritual hell they are creating for themselves with so much racism, murder, etc. is through him, not Allah. There also is forgiveness, love, truth, freedom, and more, with Jesus but not through Mohammed or his false god Allah. Thanks to the prince of peace, Jesus, who came to save all of us from hell!
