So tell us, Fundie, just how old is the Grand Canyon? (Asking for a God-less heathen friend who keeps insisting it is at least 50 million.)

"The Church" lost its power of prophetic voice when it rolled over and played dead when "scientific experts" told us they had figured out a different story of the origin of the universe and life on Earth. You can't build a strong church on the shifting foundation of human opinion, no matter how "scientific" and "expert." The LGBTQetc. movement isn't the worst sort of sin, but it includes some of the most blatant denial of God's will for men and women, and even of concrete, true scientific facts.

“Sleeping church,” Paul? Didn’t the Christian Nationalists just have their greatest triumph by stacking every layer of the federal judiciary with young, mostly unqualified, ultra-wing ideologues? At least savor the win.

I strongly agree with this article, especially with framing our mission as helping people instead of condemning them. But I was bothered by one paragraph that seems out of place -- singling out gender identity issues as if that were the worst evil affecting our society suggests that an appropriate perspective hasn't yet been reached. Also, an issue that we don't understand is not one where we are going to be ready to help anyone, so that doesn't seem like a suitable starting place.

His Righteous judgment is nigh at hand!!!! Only AFTER it has happened will a slumbering church awaken to her sins of commission and omission. Only THEN will she humbly return to him with repentance and renew her faith and go boldly making disciples.

Of course it can. But not until we Normal Christians purge the ranks and expose the “Christian Nationalists” for the dangerous fraud they are.
