People have been lied to and deceived for so many years -- decades -- that they believe President Trump's returning to our nation's founding principles is The Lie. Reversing the course of the destruction of our founding ideals that has gone on since before I was born (I'm 44) while getting hated and attacked and zero cooperation is a feat no one but the Trump-Pence team could pull off, and not without our prayers and support. Real problems and situations affecting millions of our people are rarely if ever discussed, let alone cooperatively corrected.
Sexual sin is not the ONLY sin. Taking away human freedom and stealing money/wasting it on frivolity and murdering our weakest citizens for "convenience" are sins. Lacking the self-discipline or morals to stop blaming "society" for not having what you think you need is a sin (on the other hand many homeless people WANT to live that way, creating health hazards and chaos).
Forcing people to agree or be silenced is not God's way, and being vulgar is not good but speaking the truth is. We have had real liars running our local, state, and federal governments for several decades. So when you have someone at the top who fearlessly verbalized what's really going on, he gets accused of being The Liar. It's absurd.

Most of the antagonist who post here are void of a rational recognition that God can use the likes of a Donald John Trump to confound a nation He has turned things upside down that includes the way political leaders operate, who have operated while hidden behind a veiled agenda for generations. Trump is not afraid of them and for all his faults he continues to do what he campaigned on! If God wants the swamp drained then-drain the swamp! when I read most of what is said on here, It is becoming troll-like

Dear Dr. Brown, thank you for your article and many points. I am your brother in Jesus and at this time I can't imagine voting for President Trump. Regardless of policy I believe he attacks the structures of our nation as well as our trust in them. He attacks any structure and anyone who dares disagree with him. Policy can be changed in a moment if the structure is broken. I have seen in a prior article of yours more balance about the positives and negatives of both parties. I am very alienated by individuals who only speak of how their side is right and good, and the other side is wrong and despicable. As I have struggled with my reaction to them as well as political leaders on both sides, the Lord has called me to reject my temptation to bitterness and pray for them. I do see this time our nation as an opportunity for Christians to model the love of Jesus in the midst of disagreement. Jesus is Lord. Thank you. Steve Schulte

You support a man who has abused the rule of law and Democratic process, and - with Democratic incompetence and Republican collusion - gotten away with it. He was "exonerated" of impeachment charges by a sham trial with biased jurors (McConnell admitted before the trial he wasn't impartial, then toke an oath that he would be) where no witnesses were called, and evidence was limited because Pres. Trump told prospective witnesses not to honor subpoenas. (Isn't that obstruction of justice?) Why do you continually support a man given to speaking untruths, whose primary worship/love and servitude is to mammon/money, and whose administration's policies reflect that servitude? (Mat 6:24; 1 Tim 6:10; Rev 21:8; Rev 3:17-18)

To be frank, evangelicals have embarrassed themselves and lost all credibility with their unwavering Trump worship. Flatly contrary to Jesus's teachings, Donald Trump is a man who (1) says he does not need to ask God for forgiveness, (2) states that he does not love his enemies, (3) lies serially, (4) has had 3 marriages and truly degrading interactions with women and porn stars, (5) mocks, bullies, and attacks anyone who doesn't praise him, such as mocking palsy, and (6) punishes purple heart veterans and other patriots if they dare speak factual information Trump doesn't like. I don't EVER want to be lectured by an evangelical again on morality. It's clear to me that you don't FOLLOW the Bible to assess politicians; you selectively USE the Bible to justify your political choices. It's disgusting. I never thought I would see his day. It makes me wonder if Jesus Christ even exists -- there's just no evidence of it from evangelicals in this environment. If anything, I feel like you are treating Trump as Lord.

A man of character admits
his faults and mistakes. A
man of integrity owns up
to wrong doing. TRUMP lacks
both !! He continues to
believe he's above the Law
and continues to put his own
selfish interests above what
is right for this Nation!!
THAT'S TREASONOUS ‼️

Supporting a liar, a cheat, an adulterer, a tax evader, a misanthrope, a con man, a scofflaw, a draft dodger, an abuser of power, an obstructer of Congress, etc., seems rather distaste to me. On the other hand, I’m wondering who will prevail among the Democratic contenders.
Is there a third choice?

Sure, I'll vote for the orange monster. Wanna know why? Because two Corinthians are ALWAYS better than one.

Is the Bible socialist because poor people could walk onto a farm and take food without paying as long as they didn't put anything in a basket, and farmers had to donate a tremendous amount to charity? They could only go over land once to pick crops and the leftovers were for the poor. If American farmers as Christians had to follow the rules of the Bible including letting the land rest on the seventh year, etc, Christianity would be rare among farmers probably.
Social Security and Medicare are probably socialist ideas, but the Republicans won't stand up against them and get rid of them. They had control of the government, but they didn't do it, so they must be socialists too.
