Sail Alinsky: A man who dedicated his life to destruction.
The Rules For Radicals:
"Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have."
"Never go outside the expertise of your people."
"Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy."
"Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules."
"Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. There is no defense. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."
"A good tactic is one your people enjoy."
"A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag."
"Keep the pressure on."
"The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. "
"The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition."
"If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative."
"The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative."
"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. "

Being a history & religions major, I can tell you, with all certainty, that President Trump has very little in common with Adolph Hitler. The reason why so many leftists make this comparison is because of how history, namely WW2 history, is being revised to villainize Nationalism & Conservativism. For a prime example of such revisionism, check out Netflix's series about WW2. In it, they describe such tyrants, as Hitler & Mussolini, as "right wing conservative nationalists". Yet barely mention the fact that each were Socialists. Such revisionism seems to be wide spread in today's liberal universities where Socialism has become very popular.
On the flip side, I am far more concerned about the similarities between BLM / Antifa and the Nazis:
While many will openly deny this fact, the three young ladies who founded BLM had very strong ties to both the Nation of Islam, an American Black supremacist group which openly stated their admiration for Hitler's treatment of the Jewish people, and Marxism. It could be argued that, if one were to strip away all of the LGBT elements of BLM, they would be nothing more than the Black Panthers 2.0, yet another group of African Americans that idolized Adolph Hitler's rapid rise to power in Germany and had borrowed several tactics from Hitler's playbook.
As for Antifa, one could easily argue that many of their current tactics are a mirror image of the tactics used by the Nazi Brown shirts (rioting, looting, burning down buildings, attacking innocent civilians, & trying to use violence to intimidate politicians to get their way). In fact, it was such tactics that actually caused the German President to award Adolph Hitler with the office of Chancellor, an office created specifically for Hitler.

Unfortunately many Americans are acting like 1930's Germans. Kevin Williamson writes in a recent article: "How long are we going to keep pretending that this madness isn’t madness? Another is: How long will we continue to pretend that what’s being broadcast by Fox News and talk radio is political commentary rather than the most shameful, irresponsible, and unpatriotic kind of sycophantic for-profit propaganda? A third is: What exactly is the benefit — for our ideas, and for the country — of making common cause with these lunatics and hucksters?" 100%. (fwiw https://bit.ly/2KjK4tc)
