The instructions that Jesus gave to the woman caught in adultery was "Go, and sin no more." This is not an imperative command to live a sinless life, but to live a changed life, a life that has been transformed. One that is becoming more like Jesus on a continual basis.

You walked right into it, Fundie. The oldest, easiest, gotcha question for all of you self-righteous, holier-than-thou "Born Agains." And you folks fall for it every time. I've been using the same question on your type since the mid 1970s, and it always finds you folks totally befuddled.

Yes, it's not a matter of living a sinless life, or being saved by our efforts to be like Christ, but simply coming to the point of deep, sincere repentance and accepting Christ as Lord and substitutionary Savior by God's grace through faith, a sincere faith that, with the seal of the Holy Spirit, leads to a transformed life.

Is YOUR life sinless?

This article is awesome! This is the biggest deception today - that you can be saved and continue living a sinful life. Jesus is either the Lord of your life or he isn’t and your life reflects it. Jesus didn’t die on the cross, so you can sin all you want too.
After Roe vs Wade was overturned I was shocked at how many of my Christian relatives argued for abortion! …but I realized something horrible. My relatives are for gay and transgender sin. They argue you don’t want to be a bigot. Jesus is love! …then I realized they are also for fornication and cohabitation. They live it out as part of their everyday lives, unmarried and living with different partners until they grow weary with one and move on to another. They tell me I’m narrow minded and sex before marriage isn’t in the Bible. When I point it out that’s what fornication means, they say I’m old fashion.
They tell me not to judge. Jesus is love and I’m unloving by telling people how to live their lives.
I realize something horrible. Most of my relatives are going to Hell and they think they’re ok!! They are Christian in name only. Jesus isn’t the Lord of their lives. They never repented. They tell me they said the prayer and believe in Jesus. They tell me once saved always saved! ….but you can’t tell the difference between them and a non-Christian. They’re living a lie and think they’re ok. Maybe they never understood the gospel and salvation?
